The Board of the College
The Board of the College is provided the responsibility of governing, controlling and administering the affairs of the College, as required by the Occupational Therapists Act, 1998, c.21.
This includes, but is not limited to, the following:

ensuring maintenance of a Register of all registrants licensed by the College to practice Occupational Therapy in the province of Nova Scotia.

providing procedures for the making, amending and revoking of regulations which govern the registrants of the College.

appointing committees to assist in carrying out the duties pursuant to the Occupational Therapists Act, 1998, c.21.

developing and maintaining the mission, objectives and strategic plan of the College (General Regulations, 1999).

granting Registration and licensure in accordance with the Occupational Therapists Act (1998, c.21) & the Regulations, providing for the discipline of members.

reviewing and/or revoking, as deemed necessary, the regulations governing registrants of the College.

appointing a Registrar to act as Chief Administrative Officer, who reports to the Board of the College.
